A pilot with his family on board had an engine failure and managed to plop the Robo into some nice, squishy, soft scrub.... like landing in cotton candy....
No injuries, the chopper wont be much use, but it is hardly (visibly) damaged.... but at least there was no fire and everyone was ok
Didn't even snap the rotors off of it Kudos to the pilot
It just reminds me of what I was always taught... and what everyone ignores.... "don't fly over tiger country (somewhere you cant land) in a single engines anything..... fly around it keeping ELA in range.... but engines are so reliable these days. people often take short cuts.....

Yeah, for sure.... there is talk of an electrical failure. Will be interesting to see.
I saw the report on the news, they interviewed him. It is his own heli and he appears too smart, and done the trip too many times from airport to farm to have tried to skimp on fuel...
Expert placement between the soft bushes tho....
The chopper will meed a full tear down and inspect.... but he didn't even ding the rotors?
Nice work....
