Yeah, kiting is great fun.... it is also great to teach rotor handling....
I wouldn't risk standing half on the glider and half on the ground tho.... you always have to be ready for a rope breakage , sudden big gust of wind or even sudden lack of wind.... not likely at el mirage tho... but ropes can break and rotors can fall off   Them was the days tho.... didn't worry about stuff like that back then....
