I'll be damned if those blades aren't too short for that thing fully loaded! That is one ugly thing. The AMC of gyros |

Man, your crazy!!! That thing is friggin awesome looking! Imagine longer blades, and nacelle fairings that look like EFAMS. Paint the whole thing dark gree with a white underbelly and it will be the spittin image of an Airwolf gyro! I want one! |

I am not sure if I like it or not.....But I have to give them credit for thinking outside the box that is for sure! With 2 115hp rotax turbos it sure would have the power It would look better in Jake's favorite color...flat black, LOL. |

I'm personally not keen on it.... I think it has plenty of rotor, but they are turned about 30 degrees to the camera (shadow on rotor head towers) making it appear the rotors are short. I think you might find the pic is a photoshopped mock up, it doesn't appear 100% real to me. I am not keen on side by side engines, if you loose the left one, you will only be doing left hand circles anyway. I think better would be contra rotating props on center and an engine driving each prop.... so if you loose one engine, the thrust is still on center..... Great idea tho, if you like enclosed gyros Edit: In Aus, it wouldn't be registerable. We are licensed to fly gyros with one thrust engine and one thrust propeller only. |
