Some clips I put together quickly before I head off to OZ :OZ ... of my Saturday magic flight in OZ'rora ... finally got the courage to leave the pattern & go enjoy the farm neighborhood & most importantly ... test out the landing strip ... been mowing it hard all summer ... needed to try it out!

Awesome! I have not flown for almost 3 weeks because I've been in South Africa - this makes me look forward to flying Thursday even more.

Your flying looks decidedly controlled and smooth...I like those swooping down turns to land like you did...that is such a neat feeling!!

Lookin like an expert pilot!!

Thanks for sharing! Lots of nice level places to land.

How are you enjoying the "Jake" mods?

Latest Gopro vid.

Tried a new Gopro mount … the chesty-harness … just below my chin!

viewer …sees the view I see!

I need to clean up the notes on the windshield if I do any more like this … I
don't notice them in real-view … but they seem annoying/distracting in video!
also the helmet cord & seatbelt tail flapped at times over the lens … even though both secured under lap belt!

An experimental video… but the flight was the best I had all year … all the annoying issues I felt with OZ'rora on previous flights were gone … I was relaxed & had a blast!

Archived for my pleasure more than viewer experience! - no music ..just raw gyro sounds!

For what it's worth…...

After 3 goes ...to find optimal prop pitch for the Bolly-912 ... I had a nice test fly ... the pattern was busy but I enjoyed being able to use the nice strong headwind @ 500ft AGL ( only 11kt - 200 on ground) .. so i could just "hover /slow fly" - hang out on my close in downwind/base leg turn point... at a 45` off the 17 end... so I could keep a good eye on all the traffic on the far-out FW pattern track - downwind & everything on 2mi to short final ... & what was on the runway & hold short line ... worked out well ... when it was my turn ... just swoop in for my T&G with minimal time "blind" not knowing what was coming behind me!

had the camera turned to the rear ... new viewpoint ... interesting to see the flight from that angle!

Nice Chris...Makes my point about backup cams for gyros and GA in general. We have the tech, battery backup, why not use it .
