I called Greg Spicola today....thank you Gabor for giving me his number.....and they are planning on stopping in Paxton Sunday night and will be out to my shop on Monday. I would like to take them to the shooting range....but will play it by ear with how much time they have. I would love to have dad get a ride in that georgous gyro...but we will see. Pictures next week. I want to fly alongside them and take some video and air to air shots.

Greg called and they should be at Paxton...my hometown around 1 p.m. CDT. I told them to come hungry....as I will fill their bellies with all the squirrel they can eat!.

Dad is on notice that he gets a ride in that Apollo! Pictures tonight including videos from my Helicycle getting real close to the Apollo.

Stan

It is a modesty thing Gabor

Normal people do not eat squirrels , let alone allow photographs of it !!!

Cool deal, I have flown that machine, first Gyro I have been able to land by my self. Greg and Abid are good people. I bet your Dad loved flying that machine.

Had he ever taken the stick in your RAF or Sparrow hawk when you had them?

those air to air shots are cool. bet those guys loved your helicycle also.

Tim- Yep.....dad has taken the stick in both my RAF and the SparrowHawk. He even took off in my Quicksilver MX one day years ago. I just told him a few things about it...and said....aw....go fly it! He has a picture on his desk that's been in his heart ever since 1985 when I took it.

This was a wonderful day. Thank you so much Greg and Abid. Looking forward to pumping some lead down range when we have more time next week.

Arnie- That picture with dad in the Gyro...and the guy with a Pepsi shirt....is Dave Lafary. The guy 2nd from the right is Luke Ehmen.

Man....this is what life is all about.....paying back to the man that exposed me to flying in the first place....my DAD!!!!

I could write a book on that guy. He was an MP in the Army,,,,,and talk about a tough dude back then. He is of course 93 years old...but you should have seen him years ago.

Arnie- Luke is 2nd from the left....I incorrectly said from the right. He has the beard.

They came back for more! It was a treat and an honor having these guys back to my stair shop....and then we went to the gun range. We all had a lot of fun.

Look at the one picture with Greg inside....and all the engineers on the outside reverse engineering my chopper. I feel an Abid helicopter someday. Those four guys are sharp as tacks.

Next we went to the gun range.

They had to watch a safety video...then go to the range with a range officer.

Greg and I had a squirrel match. Mine is on the right......I had a plate full of squirrels to eat if they had been real. We shot them at 15 yards.
