That is disgusting to look at :eek :puke2 :puke3

Look how high the thrust line is :dizzy

Having the 'mast' triangulated like that, any out of balance is going to hammer thru the stick and airframe, so mega harmonics and stress....

One small step for mankind.... and a giant step backwards for gyrocopters :puke3 :badluck

FAIL FAIL FAIL

I guess it is hard for trixy to design new machines to kill people.... but that looks like it should work ok :noidea :laughing :puke3 :yoda2 :Wolvie

What a pile of shit :laughing

Picking up on where Muz stopped. I think the crash dummies are expecting falling parts from the rotor head by the upward angle of their visors. Or they might be the aerodynamic answer to the high thrust line. Chin up...nose up? Also, the attempt to locate the tail feathers completely out of any of the prop wash should build a pile of monuments to the "Bensen 'rock guard'". This could become a fun set of pick the physics problems posts. And finally the flat wide body should take care of any slip-roll coupling.

oh boy oh boy oh boy I bet a lotta people die in this thing.

Ah yes, the new Trixy "Stump-Finder" gyroplane. Designed by an award-winning soapbox derby builder and AMC Pacer enthusiast, this "familiar" design is sure to bring back that look and feel that gyroplane pilots have been missing since the 1980's!

So ghetto Trixy can't afford a damn Rotax to put on this beauty?
I mean come on! A BMW motorcycle engine? Really?????
This is the "hoodgyro"....
Right after I fixed my broken fence posts I'll show them new design!

All it needs is a couple of faucets and it could double as a bath tub... complete with shower attachment? :laughing

I cant believe someone would make that today and say it was designed? It looks more like a cartoon?

The only thing I liked about one of the trixy gyros, is that I like the idea of sitting on it like a motorcycle... although I wasn't keen on how they did it... just that seating style.... :pop :wol2 :Wolvie

Continuing on the photo analysis theme. The angle of the prop thrust line in the above photo appears to be downwards. The Horizontal tail appears to point in the opposite direction. In the video the dished top surface with a dome shaped lower side looks much different from current thoughts. In the video there is a short shot of the panel. Appears that they were saving money on data for the pilot. Either he is going to be too busy keeping it right side up to need much in the way of gauges. Or suspecting an early test cycle crash, they didn't want to waste the money on a glass panel in the show plane. And in the single run down the runway in the video there appears to be a slight nose up and down pitching moment.

Hopefully this set of posts here and on other forums can save some lives. The many people coming into this sport haven't been exposed to the great depth of knowledge gained from the tragic loss of life over the past decades.

If someone asked me what NOT to do when building a gyro....

I would just save time and give them a pic of that....

and just say, "don't do anything in this picture" :laughing :rofl :puke2

It has to be a joke? doesn't it? Surely it cant be for real? :noidea :ugeek: :violin :pop :Wolvie

Not on their website yet, but it is on their facebook page, so they are proud of the little bastard....they need to look up "Air command" from the 1980's.....

I'm gonna call it "The flying suppository". Not just because it looks like one, but because it's gonna be a pain in someone's ass.

I'm thinking "Tub-O-Tumble" "Death Dodgem" "Bucket-O-Bereavement" "Cauldron of Euthanasia"
