FJ SOLOED TODAY ![]() What a long time coming from first gyro hours shoe-horned into Desmon's red MTO "QT" ......in late August 2011 .... the highs & lows of building the TiggyB ...trying to get all the issues resolved so it could be flown off & used to train in! Now a year after owning the Jim customized Titanium Explorer "Festey" .... and piecemeal sessions of training @ the various rotorcraft events we attended in the last 12 months ..... Today JIM flew SOLO!!! Thanks to the week -long preparation @ ROTR with a couple of daily lessons ... thanks Desmon,Chris Lord , Brandon & Mike Burton he was finally 100% ready! We relocated yesterday to AirGyro HQ @ Spanish Fork ..... Today - after a final dual lesson .... just before noon ... Jim headed out solo under Mike' s watchful eye & ground radio! I got pics & video ... to be posted after we get home! ( later this week!) CONGRATULATIONS ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() onwards to the flight test & sport add-on! ![]() ![]() |
