Looking forward to shooting and eating every squirrel by myself this coming season! Barbara is the perfect wife as she lets me eat every one. She is that sharing! She even lets me enjoy the aroma of my squirrels cooking in my stair shop all to myself. So....I will post some pictures of the kill...the gutting...the simmering....and then the deep fat frying of Americas best kept secret culinary delight! 2 squirrels and 3 ears of buttered sweet corn....now that is what stair builders are made of! My stairs started twisting and turning the more squirrels I ate. My best year I shot 42 squirrels with my pistol....ate 41 of them and mounted the last one. No......I had it stuffed by a taxidermist.....not actually mounting it myself.....ha |

Since we can post graphic stuff here.....I will post a how to clean a squirrel series of pictures....with graphic behind the scenes knife cuts, pliers used to pull the fur pants and shirt off the squirrel...gutting one the self taught way! I will have you almost smelling this delicacy before its even cooked. Don't need no extra flavoring to smother that unique taste that only squirrels provide. Free range squirrels...eating only select hardwood nuts.....instead of a filthy diet that chickens eat...including poop! I wish I could bring down a dozen squirrels for Gabor and the Sunstate group ....Sun State Squirrel Stew Shot by Stan...... would that bring in the masses? Ha |

And to show you what a great friend I am , you can have my share too !!!! Actually I would like to try squirrel some day , I am just not quite ready to admit it yet I knew a guy who liked Muskrat sandwiches , he worked in the far north and it was the only fresh meat available. |
