I didn't know that you were checked-out in a H-13....or 47, Gabi. You fly it nice and smooth.....
That is the nicest looking 47 I've seen. I use to work on their main and tail rotor systems.

The pilots always seemed to feel better when I gave an exuberant YES, when asked if I wanted to ride along on the test flight.
Doing an auto in a 47 is a mild ride compared to a falling-down 269 ;-).

Ed I don't have to be checked out in anything. I do have the highest possible rating short of ATP. Would I fly any helicopter though?
SHIT YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But I do prefer a brief briefing before hand :)
Since you guys are so much in love with this baby I am going to upload a video I took while flying it. Let me cut where you can hear the whining sound just before pick up and the barking on decent plus the sound of the blade when you pull full collective on the spin don to slow the blades OK?
Coming soon. I am editing it right now.

yeah I bet it burns around 13 GPH. probably.

That kind of one of my Concerns about my Hillman Hornet, by the time my A&P gets it running, who knows what fuel prices will be.

but i think the 0-320 H2AD can burn auto gas, but not sure.

That rotor would be a bear to control without hydraulics.....well, maybe you could with all your gobs of muscles, but you would be still be sweating like a fish in a couple minutes ;-).
Thanks for the video Gabi!!

Thanks for the link to the Scott's Bell 47GT6 article !!!!!
I was not aware of the G6 until now
And that is because they only taught me to count to Bell 47 G2 ... HAAAAA!!!!
trivia : .... in my opinion Scott loves the Bell 47 so much he would rather be buried in the ground before that helicopter was put out to pasture

But his love is not a blind love , it also employs a good business plan that has obviously convinced the bankers and Bell Helicopters ... he has been working toward that for many years .... I love these American success stories !!!!

thanks again
Arnie
