Jim has received his eviction notice but will drag it out as long as possible.

He and I are going to meet with some officials at the Arcadia Airport tomorrow.

The Police chief gave us word today that the campers in the campground have to be moved out.

Nobody has told us yet that anything related to our hangar situation has to change. But one of the commissioners made these comments in the last city commission meeting on December 8th:
1. I have some serious questions about Bensen Days. I question how much it really benefits the city
2. I'd like to see hangar rent and fuel prices go up
3. I think we need to investigate the whole situation at the airport and what it's being used for.
4. You know, we do have a waiting list.
5. Maybe we don't even need an airport authority

Background for comment #6: There are three openings on the airport authority. The position was advertized and applications were submitted. Trez Vining and Bud Oneal both applied. As of December 8th (the date the new members were to be announced) Trez and Bud were the only two applicants. Both of them have superhuman resumes. But......they are newcomers, they are not part of the established power-holding club, and they have both spoken out in support of Jim hay. So at the meeting, instead of selecting new members, they postponed the selections and have hinted that maybe we don't need an airport authority (three members of the authority did show some backbone and try to pass a motion to ask the city to consider reinstating Jim hay - two of those members then resigned that same evening).

So, we're expecting trouble. There is a city commission workshop on January 8th where I will rebut the commissioners comments.

Mike, I would suggest that you start the wheels turning and seek at least an initial approval/reserve the dates etc. You guys definitely know how to throw a proper party.

I've prepared a very detailed letter I plan to submit to two TV stations and one newspaper very soon. And I have contacted a state senator that I know (I taught his kids).

Sadly the clubs hanger may not be but I have faith in Gabor. He'll come up with solution or he'll find an even better place.

The one thing it did drive home is PRA owning the airport was a GREAT idea! Before I wasn't on the fence if we should sell it!

Are there any hangers there with more than one FW in it? I would be looking for sure... point out any hangers with multiple planes.... what is good for gyros has to be good for everyone?

When you find hangers with more than one FW in it, I am sure the rules will suddenly change?
