Stan it is completely up to you my brother. They don't have to be the same. You can use any kind of wood. You have a great taste so anything you do is always tip top! Thank you for doing all this for us. :)

I have just invited the Hungarocopter guys to Bensen Days.
See if I can get them bring their helicopter?
Thanks Leigh for reminding me of them!!

Yes, having those 'copters' would be cool!

I tend to spend too much time 'examining' things... the more things to look at... well the more fun the show will be.

Tim......Thanks for herding in more choppers for us powered wing oddballs!

Stan
Stan we have it confirmed, Niclas will bring in 3 choppers and will even offer 12 minute Intro flying lesson in the R-22 for $69.00 and I am talking to him about intro lessons in the R-66 turbine, but he said due to turbine start cycles they would have to be a minimum for 30 minutes. have not discussed rate for the R-66 lesson. how cool would it be to get your hands on the R-66?

I have also been posting on hanger chat to get more choppers in and on barnstormers. I would invite the people from Safari helicopters, but I don't think they would show up.

going to be fun, Gabor and I talked about moving the helicopters to the other side of the hangers, so people will see them when they first drive in.

I just called out Safari, I posted the link on their facebook page for Bensen days and said we would love to see some Safari owners show up. told them it was not just a gyro fly-in. they said they would let the boys know, guess we will see. love the new promo video, in Safari's face with the Mosquitos being there.

has anyone contacted composite FX to see if they can display the new 2 place Mosquito? that would be cool to see.

Well this kind of sucks, guess we know where most the Helicopters will be.

from Cburg on that other forum.
Lake City (Rotorway) and Trenton (Mosquito) fly-in are March 28 - 30. Just 30 minutes apart.

Not saying the power is not right at Bensen days, but I just read an blog about RV electrical shocks and how common they are and wanted to share this since we will have people traveling from all over that may be staying at who knows where on the way.

Something worth watching. I sure learned alot. getting a non contact voltage tester today - gardner bender sells one for under $15.00 thats reads down to 12 volts ac. and up to 600 volts a.c.

Alright ladies! We got this thing rolling pretty much. We had a few last things to take care of before the grand opening. I think we got everything scheduled and we are good to go. All spots were spoken for and the vendors are taken care of. The usual volunteer work will be appreciated greatly. Rick Martin will be in charge of scheduling the volunteer work. I'll be emptying the garbage cans and probably clean up the dog poop! :cry
ANyways. I appreciate all of you who do make the journey. It will be nice to see old friends and make new ones.
I'll try to make it as drama free as possible for you guys.
I do hope you will enjoy your stay with Sunstate and take away a lot of good memories. That's what it's all about.
Take plenty of pictures because this is your best source of free education.
We will try to make room in our hangars for as many gyros as we can.
Fortunately...or unfortunately we do have a record amount of gyros in our club.
Some won't be there so we can free up rooms for the guest gyros.
We do have to kind of juggle things around. But it's all good.
I hope to see you all there.
Thanks for coming.

No it's not weird at all. I prefer dogs over backstabbing ppl too!!!!
On the other hand you can't really piss dogs off as well as ppl.....dogs are forgiving and forget quickly.....which is a proof that I must not be a dog :laughing
Glad you can make it my brotha!!! How are we doing with the newspaper ad?
Sorry I haven't had a chance to ask. Kind of got busy with the stuff for BD......
Thanks again for helping out!!!!
Gabs
