It has to be a joke. Fetters is better than that. ROFLMAO. If this is for real it is telling. Nah. It has to be a joke. A pusher with the split prop setup having the air blocked by the body reduces the airflow through the short props to the point where about 70% loss of efficiency. Stating that using BMW R1200 engine that puts out a 110 horse will not even take off with two people. He did sell a lot of deposits for the 2 place helicopter too! I have had a long talk to the only successful guy that got a judgement against him. He happens to be Hungarian so I had no misunderstanding about the con artists dealings. He moved to California to escape the judgement. Piece of shit.

Well now he lives and breeds in china and this is a true build.

I've been looking into it since i found out. It's in production as we speak.

No release date established.

When I know more you all will know.

If it were in production you'd have a picture of the real thing. Not a primitive 3D rendition. I know a guy who can make those pretty damn well.

I wonder if he is back in Corona, CA.....that is where his company address is, though he may build them in China.
Dennis is certainly capable of producing that gyro.....and I can't help but find myself liking the design.
The geared prop's I don't like....'cause that is what I had planned after my rotor prototype testing was finished, only my engine is up front.
Those prop nacelle's help to direct air to the center area, as does the fuselage shape.
I agree with Gabi that 110 hp will not produce great performance spec.'s.....unless that engine has been turbo-charged for added hp.

No never-mind....I won't be able to afford it anyway......

Edit: Just noticed his blades have two chord sizes and a ground adjustable trim tab at 75% radius.
My blades are tapered with a rotor flight-control servo-flap at 75% radius.
The longer chord length in the "driver" (middle 1/3) section of the blade, should be more efficient at powering the rotor.

UUUUGGGGGHHHHHHHH please correct me if I am wrong BUT this idiot states that his props are counter rotating composite!!!! What is wrong with that? Please examine the setup a bit further and rotate the props in opposite direction. Yep. They will hit each other. What a scam???? He is full of shit again. And the imaginary fucking numbers of airspeed and VNE and shit like that just laughable. What an idiot????

.

I dont know anything about what Fetters is doing ..... but from what I can tell the facebook stuff hobbycad posted about the AeroSabre Gyrocopter is from Jan 2010 ..... and it is hosted by the company "custom anything" who Dennis hired to do the website back then ..... as far as I can tell the website has never been used ... or has remained inactive ... I could be wrong

I am wrong. SO I correct myself. counter rotating on the gear drive is possible. My bad.

I agree with Arnie. I don't think anything has happened on this project since January 19, 2010.
It also looks to me that 1985 was probably the last physical design stuff done.\
It is probably dead in the water.....

And that was HobbyCAD's news? That guy is something else LOL. I am fiddling with Strata 3D Design. Awesome textures :)

chrony capitalism is at work I'm guessing. If this guy had a legitimate product to sell. people would flock to buy his products. this guy knows nothing about aviation, only how to sell a product people don't want through clever advertising!
