 charging batteries

With 6 12v batts, hooked up Neg to Pos, can I hook up my 72v charger to #1 neg, &.#6 pos. and charge ???

That should work, just like a golf cart charging.

It should work just fine. Top off each cell with distilled water. You never want the plates exposed to air.

Even better if the charger has an "equalizing" feature.
