The blades are kinda hard to see, but it looked like he should have had plenty of room under the rotor. how far do they come down and would the blades be trashed now since they hit something at flight RPM?

Bell 407 the blades with a little forward cyclic will take your head off.
A few helicopters produced will droop rotors low enough also.
Hueys. Squirrels Enstroms 500s on low skids

Main blade inspection & sudden stoppage inspection, The tail rotor drive line is more of a problem area after rotor strikes
