Change your prerotator belt @50 hours!!
@54 hours mine let go after takeoff and what was left of it wrapped around the prop hub. No damage, just turned around and landed, put on the spare, re torqued and safetied the prop, back up and flying after 20 minutes.
Lots of rubber powder everywhere.

Wix belts seem to be the toughest ones I've used. Outlast Gates and Dura belt all day long

That seems like an awfully short lifespan, is there a way to lessen the tension and still achieve pre-rotation? I can't think of any belt on any piece of equipment I have ever used that had that short a life. Was the belt new when you started using it? any chance it was defective/dmaged? and lastly, can you switch out the drive pulley to accept a wider/flatter belt?
I'm not a belt expert, but I HAVE been watching my own belt expand since my trip to the states...

I have alot of flights on that belt, it was showing some wear, no cracking or anything, but I had been watching it and already had a spare. I figured it would not just explode..

my standard trapzeoidal belts have 300 flight hours , they show no signs of degradation ..mabye should I change them I hope I'll never need any belt pulley shaft etc in the future if my electric pre-rotator works

So we shouldn't be happy for you that you "found" what was lost?
Time to lay off the cheeseburgers, or shrimp burgers or whatever they have in Guam and get back to flying weight!
Easy to say I know...

I always said regarding engines, "if you wanna be fat you gotta be rich" And this time I got a 582. So I'm not out of flying weight yet, but yeah I gotta get motivated. This has been such a fucked up year! Real highs and lows. I lost my pops recently and just 2 weeks ago my mom was in a head on crash. Kat had to fly back to the states to be there when she got out of the trauma unit. She will fully recover but now is going to move out to Guam with us. So....I've been eating garbage....but I'm still swimming 4 to 5 times a week. Maybe when I get to be back with wifey I'll lose it again. But for right now its comfort food....even if it makes me feel guilty!
