Amazing how one virus is pretty much shutting down the whole world.

I decided to start this thread to share info ...... because (to my surprise) it is already affecting the small city where I live.

We have a fairly large WalMart here and many of the food shelves are bare ..... no sugar , no flour , no pickles , no bread , no hand sanitizer , no rubbing alcohol disinfectant , all the dry pastas and spaghetti is gone (they normally have a huge selection).

So I ended up at our smaller local grocery stores to get what I needed and the owner said he has doubled staff just to keep the shelves full .

All hockey games and meetings and social gatherings have been cancelled or postponed.

And this is rural Canada where we do not (normally) panic over stuff like that ..... and total cases in Canada are so far only 247 cases and one death in the past month ..... mostly in places like Vancouver with large Chinese population who have been traveling. In my province only 4 cases in our Filipino community ... folks who have recently been traveling to the Philippines.

From what I understand it is very contagious (easily spread) .... but the death rate is quite low .... 3.4% I think. ..... and mostly the elderly and those with poor health to start with.

I have kept track daily on the website linked below .... Back on Feb 16th 13,500 cases with 305 dead..... today is 156,073 cases ... 5,821 dead .... 74,459 recovered

(The 74,459 recovered is subtracted from the 156,073 cases = 81,614 cases currently)
( I am pretty sure I got that right)

Forgot to mention I went to the local pharmacy to refill a prescription ... normally I get 6 units that last a month ..... but all they had today was 1 with a promise of 2 more on Monday from their warehouse .... sheesh .... next week I will try to get at least a month supply before the whole country runs out ... If I dont have it I am history ... the good news it is manufactured in Canada .... not China .... I am shocked to find out most pharmacy drugs are manufactured in China .... and we all know what is going on there.

More people die in car crashes and nobody notices? I think this is just the usual 'flu season' but this year they gave it a name and ar promoting it wildly.... I think it is a test/experiment... to see what the human race would do if there ever was a real plague or something :dizzy

If there were an expanential increase in deaths each day....like 50 one day 500 the next 5000 the next.... all dying, all healthy prior, a spread of ages from infant to old people.... if this occured, I would be shitting bricks... but it is just the normal flu and, in Australia at least, the deaths have only been people over 80 years old.... so, one foot in the grave anyway. Any breathing difficulty can lead to pneumonia.

This whole shamozzle is buggering up the whole world and costing zillions. No MotoGP, No F1, No sport in stadiums, no gatherings of people over 500 here in Oz? But you can still go to a night club or bar where there is 110 people crammed into a small building?

When the plague was in Europe in the middle ages, it took half of the population... people were dying all over the place... this BS flu is only giving people the flu like they get every year and yes, some of the weak and infirm are dying... same as they do every year when the flu hits.

What they need to do is ground the airliners... if they had room on earth to park them all. The only reason this flu is spreading so fast is that people can be on one continent today, another tomorrow.... and a 3rd continent the next day... so the flu can travel the world in hours.

I was at a supermarket this morning trying to get some toilet paper (unsuccessfully) and I watched people just grab shopping trolleys... by the handle?! I have for years, used the provided wipes to give any shopping trolley/cart a wipe down of the handle. I have seen Asians (mainly) blow their nose into their hand while pushing a trolley... god knows what germs and viruses are on shopping trolley handles.... same as cash

If this 'pandemic' were real, there would be millions dead by now... it is no more than the normal flu... but they gave it a name this year to see what happens.... utter hogwash!

You watch, the WH-O will make another big effort to push for the one wo rld order and our freedom (supposed) will be wound back to zero :badluck

Notice, when there is an 'outbreak' ... say at a school or hospital or whatever, the reporters run right to the place and stand smiling in the doorway... smiling and saying how many 'victims' have been 'affected'? They know it is just hyped up bullshit... they know there is no risk! What about all of the doctors the sick are running to? Why arent some of them getting the 'virus'?

Oh, maybe the 'virus' chooses not to infect children, doctors or health workers (media reporters'?)

We humans are so gullible, it makes me sick :laughing and the ass hats doing all the hoarding should get a kick up the ass... there is no need to hoard anything... there is no real threat? Only this drummed up shit hyped up by the moronic media imo :yoda2 :fuckum :punch :Wolvie

Thanks for that website Narnie... Did you notice that in Australia (population 24 million) there has been 3 deaths (As I said, all over 80 years old) So, what is the percentage of deaths in Australia? Maybe .0000000000000000000000002% (wow! Deadly)

How many of the deaths have been younger people? How many had no prior ailments? We have lost 3 oldies, the latest was in an oldies home and his 'loving daughter' visited him and she had 'it'... how unexpected? How many people in your/my country have died in car accidents since this 'deadly virus' reared it's ugly head? :pop

Every year about this time, the gubmint runs ads on TV for older or more frail people to get a flu shot, which generally gives the recipient the flu anyway... and they say, you better get the shot because this years strain of the flu is Baaaaad!

No mention of the flu this year... only the 'deadly virus'? Naturally, we have several politishuns who are 'having to self isolate' for 14 days (see, even politishuns aren't spared :violin

Strangely, no schools are closed here? Even tho there have been many 'outbreaks' (or someone coughed)

I bet they (whoever is behind the test/experiment didn't think they would cost the world so much money?

(My thinking) is more about what it will do to the economy .... or should I say what it is already doing .... so many things shut down is putting a lot of people out of work .... and most people are already living paycheck to paycheck .... if 40% or more of our citizens have no paycheck it will be a serious situation .... never mind if the flu is a serious threat or not .... everyone is acting like it is.

Ever since the deadly SARS epidemic of 2002 the doctors and medical system began recommending everybody get a flu shot ..... the pharmaceutical companies loved it .... brings in billions of $$ every year.

I have always refused .... because they cannot vaccinate against something that does not exist yet (like a new deadly strain) ..... and I tell my doctor that and he goes silent.

And the recent Contra-virus is a perfect example ..... it is new , there is no vaccine for it that would have prevented it .... and even though researchers are working furiously to develop one it will take months before there is a vaccine .... and by then it is too late anyway.

Did I mention the Drug companies love the revenue from the ineffective flu shots .... back a few years ago the flu vaccine was all recalled , the batch either went bad or was tainted .... so NOBODY got a flu shot that year .... and guess what .... there were LESS people with flu than other years ..... but you never hear about that on the nightly news .

Back 10 years ago I spent a lot of serious time researching the ins and outs of the flu shot and fears of pandemics etc .... I sourced legitimate medical reports and research .... so my comments are not just something I pulled out of the air .

My memory is a bit rusty but here is an example ..... THE US NAVY had made what was thought to be a wise decision to vaccinate all the sailors on aircraft carriers and submarines .... after all those troops would be together in confined spaces for months at a time.

Long story short .... through mis-communication or whatever , several submarines and carriers left port WITHOUT the sailors getting a flu vaccine shot.

Some shit hit the fan in military management .... until then they decided it would be an excellent experiment to prove the value of vaccinating everybody ..... or so they thought.

Turns out the sailing vessels WITHOUT the vaccine had very few visits to the infirmary during the following months..

Whereas the vaccinated ship crews had higher than usual visits to the infirmary with flu-like symptoms .

Because in a percentage of people the vaccination itself causes such side effects .

Those side effects and problems are common knowledge in the medical community .... but never mentioned on the nightly news.

Beware the conspiracy theories .... they connect imaginary dots and try to convince everybody it is a planned epidemic .... or a biological warfare test .... and they lock in their followers by telling them not to believe anybody but them (the conspiracy theorists) ... the simple tactics of a brainwash and they gocha !!!!! ..... they also conveniently omit any information that undermines the conspiracy.

For example "they" (the conspiracy theory guys) will show documentation (including patents) that the coronavirus has been researched in labs for over 8 years already .... and what we have in 2020 is "nothing new"

Plagues have been around forever

So have conspiracy theories

Most of the plagues thru the centuries were much worse than anything we see today .... and back then it was blamed on a CONSPIRACY by the JEWS .... because they usually survived just fine .

Back then mankind did not know anything about germs or viruses , sanitation was nonexistent , food was often unclean or tainted .

But the religious JEWS followed the dietary and sanitary laws given by Moses .... human waste was far away from the camp , no unclean food was allowed , and if someone took sick they were QUARANTINED in a tent and kept away from everyone else.

No conspiracy required.

And in modern day mankind has a greater understanding about germs , viruses , and diseases , that is why we have refrigeration and raise healthy livestock in clean barns , and we wash and bath on a regular basis.

If the China peasant had our modern refrigeration and food safety it would solve most of the problems , but that will take years and years and huge amounts of money , which of course they do not have.

Corona!?! My dad was with Steward Davis doing strain tests for the recovery system [Fulton type drag cable]

On one flight they had 1500 lbs test load snap the cable and almost sunk the boat to Catalina Island.

He has film on the tests. Paid good and lots of flying... They never asked why. Just the customer wanted the data.
