So true ... all of a sudden I have cravings !!!!!

I discovered Hungarian food when I was 7 years old in 1958 ... our farm was flooded so my parents sent me to stay with my Hungarian friend and neighbor Johnny Bandor.

From then on, his mom Mary was my best friend too .... man I loved the food !!!! .... Mary is still alive , must be about 95 ... I should go visit her.

I still put Paprika in my stew , chili , and pizza :)

She even made a type of deep fried potatoes , boy were they ever good .... and that was way before MacDonalds french fries were even invented

Long live Hungarian cooks !!!!!

All of them ... the Kings , the Queens , and the Princesses :)

Your website made me hungry... :)

Went into the Kitchen and made some soup: Chicken, can of tomatoes with green chiles', can of black beans, some fresh celery, fresh carrots, fresh Videlia onions (sweet yellow), some brocolli, and a few spices... Since Gabor's Hungarian food includes paprika... put some in it. MMM-MMM-good!

Now you know if food is included in the BD's adventure... well... we know what guys like... :)

hungarian food sounds delicious :) most of the food I was raised on was what you could grow in your garden. turnip greens, cornbread and beans is a staple meal in the south. but most folks don't know what real soup tastes like, a fresh from the garden tomato based soup with fresh corn, okra, taters, carrots, cellery, lima beens, a little ground beef, and vine ripened tomatos makes the best best soup! the key is fresh maters "tomato" not the crap from the grocery store. :)
