Yeah, the trees gone is awesome.... I didn't realise there was such a big lake at the north end of the strip past where the trees were...

Lots of lakes and ponds around... what a nice place to live :like

I will try to pull some more still shots from the video, Yes very pretty here, lots of hay fields cows and horses, and ponds. lots of trees too, but hopping from field to field to avoid the broccoli is not too hard to do, unless I head south, then it becomes lots of pine forest.

Muz the people are pretty good, small town and all. The people that own the lake at the end of the runway and the 500 acres behind me are musicians and they are gone on tour most of the time, nice folks, but we never see them. Some guitar player from Macon Ga....
Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeshci.

OK; so just a little rock music education. Derek Trucks, though still in his 30's is a legendary slide guitar player. His uncle Butch Trucks (now deceased) was the drummer for the Allman Brothers Band. Derek was already a regular feature in the Allman Brothers Band in his early teens. We actually went to see the Melody Trucks Band this last weekend. Melody is Butch's daughter - Derek's cousin. Derek's Brother Duane is the drummer for Widespread Panic. Susan Tedeschi had her own gig for years,
If you like Blues / Southern Rock type music listen to the Tedeschi Trucks Band. Derek is a super nice guy, very shy and quiet actually.

Thanks Lofty, I was just kidding, I know who they are, just never followed them. They are very nice people, and Yes Derek does not talk much.

I am working on more video, I am trying to figure out the editor program, I have done pretty well so far...
I am all about "FREE" programs... VDSC video editor.

Anyhow still having issues with shakiness, the Ram mount shakes less..
as soon as I get everything I will try my new camera and gimbal set up.

I got mine on sale for $70 !! https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/ ... gIiGfD_BwE

and I got a camera to go with it. Rated on par with the gopro 6 but fits the gimbal.
https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/ ... _with.html

So hopefully I will be able to start making some good flying videos, I should really be working around the hangar more, but it has been raining at least 5 out of every 7 days......

stay tuned.

I've tried most of the cams. Go Pro 7 or 8 are much better than anything else except possibly the DJI action cam for vibration reduction, with no gimbal required. Also come with their own video editing software. Hard to beat for simplicity and effectiveness. Also you can usually get $100 off from GoPro direct by sending them any old camera. Gimbals are good for vibration reduction; but I've found them to be a little clunky in the sense that they may stay horizontal as they are designed to do when you are cranking and banking so losing the effect. They also don't like wind at higher speeds and then their batteries go flat at the worst time. Good luck though, I really want to see how it works out.

OK... Last Sunday between rain and storms,
You guys tell me which camera looks best. I am getting a new one if the UPS driver does dot get washed away in the rain and floods.

Left camera is Chinese go pro clone $40... Right camera is 5 year old Midland XTC400

I like the color balance, focus and horizon best on the left video. The right video seemed to handle certain frequencies of vibration better but not across the board. There were times the left video did a better job with minimal vibration frequencies.

I agree with Jon's review. The left side was what I stayed focused on the entire video. :like
