Thank you Jake for calling me.
I was not aware of the site being down.
Guys text me give me a call if shit hits the ceiling fan.
I don't always get to log in and I don't know if it's having an issue unless you guys tell me when it happens.
It was a minor glitch. Few minutes for the support guy to restart it.

This past couple of weeks has been brutal for site hacks. I think 4th of July weekend was the worst. No outstanding countries or regions, just lots of folks trying every means possible to corrupt systems. The problem with this is the "weekend help" at most site providers are not the sharpest tacks in the drawer and sometimes "solve" problems by turning stuff off.

Add heavy hack volume to weekend warriors and some outages are inevitable. I had to correct a problem with a couple of my sites that was caused by a hacker complaining to the provider that they could not log in (a clever ploy). The weekend help turned off some protections in an effort to "help." Fortunately, that triggered some alarms and I was able to fix it before things got ugly.

It is amazing how many hack attempts websites get these days. Even static display pages have people trying to find a way to mess with them. I wish for them a special level of purgatory full of bagpipes, accordions and 5-year-old's with slide-whistles.
