Has anyone here been bitten by the haute horology bug as well?
There seems to be no end to this rabbit hole!
I'm lusting after a JLC master ultra thin moon right now, but 10,000 youtube vids later I may change my mind.
Already have a few select pieces...

When the first digital watches came out and one of the gypsy classmate's dad stole one for him and you asked what time it was he read it out loud: stick, stick, upside down chair, snowman!
That's an interesting way to say 11:48..... we too had integration struggles.... it failed!

Hmmm I am in the market for a new watch after breaking mine again.....That Is why I will never be in the market for a luxury watch....I tear up 2-3 a year, I like analog with a rotating bezel....but I try to keep it under $50 since they are disposable...

Els, not saying your wrong here, but I don't know anyone tougher on a watch than me. I've crashed gyros and been blowed up...twice! been diving in rough shallow coral filled water...and a bike accident or so....
All with the same Submariner. The Navy used to issue them to us....
Its got some character but still keeps great time.
maybe the reason your breaking them is cause you haven't bought on tough enough yet!

Probably my Murray hasn't come back with;

My hot xxxxxxx neighbours got me a Rolex for my birthday

It's nice, but I think they misunderstood me when I said, "I wanna watch"
