When I was a Kid Nortons were pretty popular and dependable. They held their value fairly well. Good for you, enjoy.

Its a 1973 Roadster. And I'm not shipping it here to Guam:( Too much money, too much rust. It will be worth twice what I gave for it before I even get to see it....

Don't listen to those guys Ben, they're full of shit! They just want to ride your new toy, poppin' wheelies and stuff. Unlike me, who will keep it in a climate controlled museum-quality facility for you...

Never had a Norton but always really liked them (1970's)
I have never been a bike guy , but my first one was a BSA 650 with a sissy bar (remember those ?) ..... but I had endless trouble with it .... ran fine for a while , then one cylinder would cut out . If I kept that spark plug impeccably clean it would fire for a while but then quit.
Being a fairly good mechanic I checked everything .... compression was good , fuel was good , ignition was good .... reluctantly paid money for a dealer-mechanic to go through it , he could find nothing wrong.
Yet I would set out on a cross country , after a few miles the 2 cyl became a 1 cyl and I had to limp home cussing all the way .
Sold it as is , told the new buyer all the issues I had , he took it anyway , and after a week or so he told me he found the problem ...... two cylinders , two ignition systems , two coils , and one hot lead from one coil was too close to the frame and would short out (arc across) unless it had a new plug or a newly cleaned plug.
He turned the coil around and had an excellent bike. Truth is I would be freezing cold on the bike on the hottest day , teeth and eyes full of dirt and bugs , I didn't enjoy it at all.
The ironic thing is the only time the coil didn't short out for some reason was when it was raining and the bike was all wet , and so was I , and freezing cold , and cussing like a sailor trying to be a biker.
Enjoy your Norton Henry ..... I envy .

I will take care of it for you ..... going by my above post you can be sure I wont be riding it haaaaa ..... I am actually liking your new bike very much.
If I was ever to get a bike it would be a high torque 4 stroke hill climber , slow and good for exploring offroad , I love getting off the beaten path , but find that 4 wheelers are too cumbersome and big , a small bike can slip between trees when the bears are chasing me.
I used to have pretty girls chasing me but now it is only bears.
