The FAA updated operations at Non-Towered airports for 2018. A Webinar is being presented with the details. Attending the event will give you FAA WINGS credits....but the real reason to view it is to become current on the changes.

One of the Peach State gang looked into this event and found out a few things:

It turns out that while the FAASTeam is the listed sponsor for this event, the location holding the event makes a small charge for participation to offset Internet and software costs for live interaction during the event, so it was not entirely free (about $7.00). This is a bit unusual for items captioned as FAASTeam sponsored events. Usually, FAASTeam sponsored events have no fees. However, the FAASTeam does prompte AOPA, EAA and various other sponsors of WINGS events that often have modest fees involved.

It also turns out that all the actual and virtual "seats" for the event filled up right away. My guess is they will make this available via other webinars or on YouTube.
