Muz...Thanks! Enjoy the 4th also. Australia has a 4th of July.
I will be happy to still be alive on the 4th of July, but, Australia doesn't celebrate the 4th. Australia is not independent and never will be, the a'hole polytishuns will see to that
In Australia, we celebrate 'Australia day' on the 26th January... which is the date that Captain Cook first stumbled onto a beach in Sydney in 1788 and claimed it for Britain...
We also dont celebrate memorial day at the same time as y'all, we remember our fallen on 2 different days.... ANZAC day on 25 April (
Australia and
New
Zealand
Army
Corps) with services at dawn and '
Remembrence Day' is always 'on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month' so for us here, November 11th at 11am is alot like your Memorial Day
Essentially, our ANZAC day is to do with WW1 and remembrence day WW2
