And being OVERtaken by one of these??   Notice the poor guy on the bicycle.... he would need a change of underwear.... Might have a giant brown stain in the lycra  Not often one is cycle biking along the highway and an attack helicopter zooms past?      |

Orrrrr...... when the helicopter has friends along ..... Would sure be hard to keep ones eyes on the road? Rather mind boggling.... notice the tank parked up on the embankment on the left as well.... Only in Russia.  I can imagine getting to work or the bar and saying to the workmates "Guess what overtook me on the way to work??" "Well, first I passed a tank"  then 4 fighter jets passed me..... then 2 attack heli's!" ....  They would say "Yeah yeah, pull the other one"  " stop exaggerating!"

Well, the heli is just flyin' IFR (I Follow Roads), right? Poor biker. First the heli and then a millisecond later, the car at 190 km/h... Cheers Erik |

Interesting to me was that the other side of the road had traffic leaving the area the helicopter was flying towards. But the helicopter and following vehicle didn't come up on any motorists going in their direction during this clip.Wondering what they were in such a hurry to get to. |

I was driving down to Bensen Days one year, and I was on one of those Florida back roads, and 2 F-18 hornets came blasting towards me at about 500 ft above the road, it was very cool, I liked it..... |

Was doing a job in Indiana right next to the A10 strafing range when out of the blue an f16 decided to use my back hoe as a sighting target! No harm no foul, plus realy cool video (at home) NOTHING like the time in Kuwait when 2 A10's almost went weapons free on me and my team.....definately NOT cool.....no video....all it wohld show is shaking as we ran like raped dates at a frat house! Sbit always looks cooler from the side view.....ya know? |

I worked at a saw mill when I got back from Vietnam. One day I was walking between the dry sheds between a couple of wood kilns and two A-10s flew about 100 ft' or less over my head. I instantly flattened to the ground. I was still reacting to loud noises without thinking. The bastards came back to see if I was still on the ground...I waved. I didn't know exactly what aircraft they were until they came back. That area was in a MOA. Bulldog MOA be specific. |

our Air National Guard wing had F-4's before they got their F-16s, you could park on the approach end of the runway anytime and have them like 100 feet over your head. was great when the F-4's landed 2 abreast... |

Yeah, was the same at Sydney international airport, would go into the suburb right at the end of the runway and lay down on your back right in the flightpath and Jumbos were flying over not 50' above you .... it was on a small rise.... lucky there weren't any short landings. Then in Canberra, similar, there was a road at each end of the runways.... was great to park at either end depending on active runway (direction) Also, at the eastern end was the Molonglo river where we would water ski, the planes would fly low over the river, that was pretty amazing. This video was from the tower at Canberra airport, when a big Rusky airplane visited.... on takeoff, it actually rotated on the grass off the end of the black top, about half way between the end of the strip and the road.... the poor tower DuuuuDe thought the plane was going to drive across the road Would have been interesting for people parked at the fence waiting to see it take off The red circles are the best viewing areas, the red arrow shows where the Russian plane finally lifted off (100 yards from the fence, on the grass)

I never will forget riding on a commercial jet and we were landing on a runway somewhere in hilly country. During my flying lessons towards my PPSEL rating, my instructor always drilled into my head that if my plane wasn't on the first half of the runway, do a go around and try again. Well, on this airline flight we were landing and I thought we were coming in hot...the runway was streaking by and it seemed forever , we were way past the half way point. I started wondering when were we going to abort and go around? Finally the wheels touched down, the reverse thrusters were engaged like I never had felt, the taxi ways were flying by, then the tires were literally locked up with smoke coming off. We did a turn while still braking and I looked out the window with horror. We were just at the edge of the runway looking down the steep side of the hill top we were on. We freakin about went down that hillside. There was some nervous chatter amongst the stewardesses. They knew! |

I love to watch the Thunderbirds practicing for the Daytona 500 fly over. They pass right over my house several times in formation at about 300 ft as they approach the race track that is about 3-4 miles from me. If that doesn't make one feel proud to be American..... I don't know what does! It's such a unique experience. |
