Rather then waste my time and have a build thread shit all over I have decided to approach the matter with a poll after some have already decided to stir the shit so I will defer to the poll results as to my decision to post a build thread there. to answer the question.......I'm bored and needed some outside encouragement to finish it. It can be negative or positive encouragement.......... i just need the energy from all the hoopla of it to help me get over the hump. Pos example= can't wait to see it fly - good job (in which case I will finish just to prove I can) Neg example=hell no fuck that and u (in which case I will finish just to spite) ![]() |

Maybe if you stared a thread with a gyro called "Der Fuhrer" or "western socialist" they might like it better.. ![]() |

This isn't about a build thread. You want yet another username to post under, and it's not gonna happen. Todd won't approve it, and guess what? It's his forum. If you want to start a build thread, then start it under your current username. Or stop worrying about the other forum and what goes on over there, and post it here. Gabor set up this forum for those who were unhappy with RWF and it seems like half the posts here are about what goes on over there! If you are on the fence about finishing your machine because you aren't getting enough virtual high-fives, then I predict that you'll never finish. |

gyromike wrote: This isn't about a build thread. You want yet another username to post under, and it's not gonna happen. Totally not true, what...u can read minds now too. Todd won't approve it, and guess what? It's his forum. No kidding Mike....... First off I wanted to have the build under Wolverine to which it is apply named and the description fits. By that I meant to have it all under one name and thread and planned to have the others logins cancelled out in lieu of just one. Also Scott started me on the idea (insert a sense of humor here) so it's his fault I wanted to do the same. My Bad...only diff is the login is his original name. If you want to start a build thread, then start it under your current username. No.......it just confuses ppl on a higher level with multiple names....just ask Vance Or stop worrying about the other forum and what goes on over there, and post it here. Not worried either way, I genuinely wanted to share and receive Kudo's for my hard work and what is wrong with that. Sure I get personal satisfaction w/o sharing but where is the fun in that. I don't fuck with ppl til they fuck with me.....period. Gabor set up this forum for those who were unhappy with RWF and it seems like half the posts here are about what goes on over there! I suppose human nature has nothing to do with that! If you are on the fence about finishing your machine because you aren't getting enough virtual high-fives, then I predict that you'll never finish. Yah...no need for virtual high fives and such................after all I predict one couldn't wait to tell no one about thier build or gyro experience, yet also not amoungst the very group of ppl who are enthusiast or budding pilots to be!!!! So much for comradirie instead out right hostility and ............never mind....u know what I mean. Did eddie call u or Todd already and whine about his 6am wake up call. Did not want him to misunderstand my position that I don't talk shit behind the keyboard and then hide from my words online. Least I be accused of being that kind of turd. Well it will still be interesting to see how the poll goes...... Fine I will finish my gyro but it won't be any thanks to the ones who find ways to shield the ill willed ways in such a small group of gyro enthusist. It's hard looking back 5 yrs ago how I even thought it was a good idea to fly let alone tackle building a gyro but then I was never shy about those things that are hard to do. Thankx Mike...you cleared this up for me. No more bitching,,,sharing or posting. U have my permission although obviously not needed to clear any and all posts by me or Rambler or Hornet FlyerII as if I never posted. Lock me out again like B4....Fuck it...who needs to be motivated by his peers. Or give me what I want.......... |

Mind changes, delays, motor changes, temporary road blocks and yes musical F150'S. It's called LIFE and it happens to everyone. Even you. Yes it has been a long journey, but you are almost there. So ignore those JERKS at RWF. Get out there and finish your dream. I have been waiting 5 long years to see that boyish grin of excitement on your face when you fly it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

A day at a time..keep chipping away at it. My SparrowHawk took me exactly 5 months to build....500 plus hours ....before and after my normal stair building hours. Set aside one build night as well. I got my non marine butt out of bed at 5 a.m. I did not need a drill sergeant ...I was my own sergeant. The reward is seeing steady progress. My Helicycle took 760 hours but way too many "in about 2 weeks" for parts. You are going to have to be your own motivator. I never was in the armed services, but I taught myself how to get motivated |

Stan,,,I guess I am just getting old and I don't have the energy I used to so I need the extra positive push from my peers. Not an excuse but a reality that's harder to swallow day by day. It would be nice to have those in the know minus one who can help me see something important about the build and can vet it's airworthiness but I seem to always have to fight through the noise of ass clowns who mean to disrupt or hinder that progress. Maybe I make myself a target cuz i respond in kind to these types of ppl. Lot to consider. I will finish...question is when. |
