Seeing some amazing stuff with the family in Mozambique. Flying a Bathawk with my buddy, bush pilot extraordinaire, Janneman Conradie. Yesterday, with the rest of the family in a Bell Jet Ranger, flight of two low over the park. A few pics here. Some more pics and video to come when I get back. |

Nice pics.... I especially like the shot of the chopper with the sun behind it Very nice I hope you are not missing your new turbo toilet too much? Must be hard for you reverting to toilet paper, now you are used to getting your butt blow dried? |

The aircraft is called a Bat Hawk, I think that's also a mod of the Foxbat. Bat Hawk are a South African company. They are trying to expand into the US market. The guy we flew with in the video, Janneman Conradie, and the owner's son Terry, are with me at the moment in Florida. They are exploring bringing in 51% kits and looking at being based here in Deland. Should have one of these aircraft here in the next few months. Looks like I may be a little involved in the aircraft business - guaranteed to make me poor. They reckon they can bring these in ready to fly at $45k, so they are sure they can be really competitive with 51% kits. Really a great performing little aircraft, and very easy to fly. Also assembly, maintenance etc will be very basic. I think they can really mimic what companies like Autogyro have done with 51% kits that can be ready to go in a couple of weeks. |
