Experimental?

Why would there be "experimental" on a Huey?

Military aircraft sometimes don't have airworthiness certificates, most don't so Experimental is the ticket.
Bell, Sikorsky, Hughes, Had T/C serial number lists for a type certificate if your machine wasn't on that list you can't get a certificate, so you apply for one of two classes of Experimental Certificate. A-B or E |

Military Specification mostly and the parts supply is different.
Just not Type Certificated like civil aircraft. A whole other ball to play with. |

I would say it is because it is carrying non military folks.... people who's widows can sue.... with 'experimental' on it it prolly means 'ride at your own risk'?
