I miss all you guys too Jim .... I just went thru 6 weeks of chemo and today was the last treatment for a while ... I am going to be OK .... it just knocks the crap out of me .... I am in no distress ..... my hair will not fall out or anything .... doc says it may take another 6 months to get back to "normal"

I said the hell with that !!!!!! ..... I have been abnormal my whole life and why change now !!!!

Anyway .... I will be fine .... just that for some reason my mind gets tired and shuts down so I dont post much lately ..... but I always read the forum every day.

Hey Jim .... just to let you know you are always in my thoughts ....

Such as .... You should put your Kenworth Engine in a gyro ..... THEN you would really have something !!!!! .... Quit pissing around with the little stuff .

And another idea I had .... if I was a good cowboy and rancher I would lasso the exhaust stacks of your Kenworth and YOU COULD TOW ALL OF CANADA TO BENSEN DAYS ..... it would warm me up .... and cool Gabor down .... and climate change would end ..... we would be the saviors of the world.

ps: ... If Stan Foster ever offers you roasted squirrel .........

Just say NO !!!

Squirrels have rights too !!!

Hey Arnie,

Sorry to hear the doc is feeding you poison... but glad to hear it is working. When one has that onery attitude... we know they will be fine... :)

Are you gonna make it down to BD's in late March? This year's BD's looks like a fun gathering!

Gosh Arnie....sorry to read you've had to go through a round of chemo....would make any mind tired.
I'm hoping your doc will find a chemo that will target only the bad cells for the next round....or better yet, that you won't need another round.
You're a naturally positive guy.....just keep it up.

glad your still alive! while your at it I would suggest you eat a clove of raw crushed garlic every morning on an empty stomach. don't cook it or you will destroy the natural penicillin properties. if you eat it raw and overcome the hotness there is also another benefit as natures Valium. :)

While we are on the topic of 'natural remedies'...

There is growing proof that asparagus is a cancer cure of sorts... Seems it has a protein chain in it that inhibits 'run-away cell growth', which is basically what cancer is.

Might be worth it to start buying raw asparagus, lightly steam it, and eat it daily.

I totally agree... This is why the placebo effect works.

Ever notice some folks 'give up', and then die... while the ones that live life with gusto just shake off serious illnesses.

All of that and more is in the book, including how many who eat supposedly right and exercise regularly are sick and others who don't are healthy.

stop being a smart ass! my dad died six months after his 3 month survival rate death sentence by the doc after the chemo. I don't hate doctors but sometimes the simplest things work because there is no profit margin in it

My Dad passed in the summer of 2012... however IMO it was a classic case of medical mal-practice... not provable though... so not much I can do about it.
Dad was ready to go, he had lost interest in life... Shame, he had a wealth of wisdom in his head.
The day before he went... I was sitting in the hospital room with him. Dad said he really appreciated all I had done for him... I responded to 'say Hi to Mom for me when you get there'. He came back with 'Yes, I will... "
Then he said he wanted to take a nap.
He slipped into a coma about an hour later...
I authorized one intravenous feeding... which his body did not respond to... then as Dad wanted... I requested NO feeding... only liquids. Dad "went home" just before dawn the next day. He lived to 87 years... and he had a good life!

I am truly sorry your Dad went that young... and to loose your sibling before they were even an adult... that is a mess!

My brother is 64, I am 61. I doubt I will make 87 as Dad did.. and I doubt my brother will either.

SOOO... I am gonna fly a gyro as long as I can...

As you said: ENJOY LIFE as one can!

The two things that I doubt I could live with:
*Being stuck in a wheelchair
*Being blind
These two things are not fears... they are just things I cannot imagine living with.

Not sure how we got off on this...

I am truly sorry your family is checking out early... I hope you stay around long enough to set some family 'longevity' records... :)

ARNIE.

So glad to hear from you !! And it sounds as tho yer full a SPIT & VINIGER !! :)

I just got back from Oz, and theres' some neat stuff going on DownUnder. I do not for a second want to suggest this for your case, but one of the things I saw was Black Salve, (Google it). Something folks I know well have used to ELIMINATE skin cancers. (natural remedy)

And I also looked into (& met with).one of the blokes bringing the Titanium gyro to market, it looks exciting, but 'Time Will Tell' !

Arnie, I am very glad to hear you say YOU'RE COMIN BACK !!!!!
