. I am surprised the R44 could lift them all .... those H.e.l.l.s A.n.g.e.l.s. sure must be out of shape .... they couldn't even climb the rope They were caught later the same day .... whole thing happened in 2013 but video was just released yesterday . |

Even though they got caught, think of the stories they can tell to the other inmates.... |

It's a wonder the guards didn't shoot it down.... they would in the US... Wait til they make bigger drones... that can carry 100kg.... I guess for now, they will just have to keep flying gu. ns, drugs, cell phones and ammo over the wall/fence of a night? |

Where were the guards? The chopper was on the roof for at least 10 minutes? Or was the chopper in 'silent mode' and the guards didnt hear it? The way the rope was around the outside of the skid, it is a wonder the chopper could be controlled at all... being overloaded as well? How long were they out for before caught? How high ASL was the prison? the chopper did pretty good I reckon for a robbo... |

. I think it was more of a "detention center" within the city .... no armed guards outside like the regular jails have .... just a guess .... I was wondering the same thing , that escape was agonizingly slow Then again , there were windows right behind the escapees , bullets could have hit someone inside , and turns out one of the 3 guys on the roof was the (innocent) pilot who had been hijacked. . |

Yeah, I was egging them on.... felt sorry for them... it was like watching the keystone cops or something lol painful to watch.... I bet the guys on the rope were rather terrified at 500'.... they were prolly wishing they were back in thier nice warm cell That guy that was near the top (that didn't fall off) must have been knackered from all of the attempts to climb up? Then to have to cling to the rope as the chopper flew off agony!! Lucky no one inside the window decided th use the fire axe on the window and chop into him... If I were the chopper pilot and was hijacked... I would have switched off the gas while idling and said it must have broken down... then wait for the cops to arrive |

(or boolit free zone) I dont think so in reality |

Thousands of parts rotating around an oil leak crashes and starts throwing pieces of metal at other people, buildings and such? How close would you feel safe to be when a helicopter is crashing? A prison yard over here is not that large. That is why I say that felons should be housed in Afghanistan. And why not Afghanistan? I was once sentenced to Vietnam for a year and I didint do nuttin. |

Actually, come to think about it, there was a helicopter prison escape in Silverwater (Sydney) a guy in the slammer had his girlfriend rent/hijack a chopper and it landed in the prison and picked him up. I will look for it on google and edit it in. http://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/real-l ... 7c7014ef9b some videos in this one: https://au.news.yahoo.com/sunday-night/ ... on-escape/ |

Allan Barklage, a vietnam combat chopper pilot was hijacked by a female who wanted him to fly her to look at some real estate, not too far into the flight she pulled a gun on him and told her that they were going to break her boyfriend out of prison, he played along but when they got close to the prison he let go of the controls and wrestled the gun away from her, shot and killed her. He came to the Shelbyville Il fly-in several times with his Mini-500 and flew it incredibly... Unfortunately he was ultimately killed in a crash of his mini-500. he had 32,000 hours flight time, mostly in helicopters. http://www.riverfronttimes.com/newsblog/2014/06/10/how-a-st-louis-pilot-stopped-a-helicopter-prison-break http://www.3cats.com/helicopter/m5ab.htm |

Quote: Despite previous statements by RHCI President Dennis Fetters asserting pilot error and all sorts of other factors, the NTSB apparently disagreed with those widely disseminated rumors and blamed the engine, though by many in the industry to offer insufficient power to fly the Mini 500 at its production and also faulted the installation for a number of factors that did not easily allow the 65 HP engine to dissipate heat, as well as inadequate component selection (bearings, etc.). How telling? That piece of shit Fetters trying to blame it on pilot error..... What a low life? |

If that landing gear was designed right the tumbling that killed the pilot would of not happened, A guy I helped in Ca got his back broke from the same type of accident |
