I am for the next week, working on a Chem Site cleanup.
Today, while digging a test pit with a shovel, we broke into a whole bunch of glass vials and ampules!
The PID's didnt ring off so we stayed in modified delta and continued to uncover a cashe of residuals from the early 60's to include some kind of test kits.
The samples from the other trenches came back positive for Mustard break down agent, so were probably in the right spot!
All this for a measly 8% haz pay?
Seriously, the industry doesnt pay any more for dealing with this stuff then they do regular ordnance!
Anyways, off to a conventional job next week in Denver....im bringing my ppg!

Just goes to show........Fuckin criminal Corps and likely other players which shall remain nameless....for now.

Well I put them on my resume, and If Im running one depending on the position I will usually have my reports from dailys to after actions.
But I dont keep a diary or anything like that.

The V.A. Has just opened up a new class of benefits for ground guys who were performing disposal ops over there, a lot of them came home with problems that are vague and varying. (nerve agent).
Im 46 and a few of my friends that were Marines and Army Eod guys have got a host of problems including dying from brain tumors.
anecdotally I have friends who worked on U.N.counter I.N.D teams that say our real reason for going in when we did was to recover the fissile material WE sold them in the first place.
We KNOW for a fact beyond any possibility of doubt that we recoverd Chem stuff there, but news doesnt seem to report that as wmd.
None of this matters, its ancient history now anyways. Soon we will be heading in to Syria to start the next phase of our global war on a lack of war.....
