Yay I made it back! mama gyro and I took off and flew to Allentown PA and picked up my new/used Sodzilla mower.
Left Sat morning and drove through, Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and back to Georgia.

The 2005 F250 Super DutyTurbo Diesel was awesome, I could easily pass anyone when ever I wanted, I stopped at a truck stop and went on the scales just to see what we weighed.
the whole rig weighed in at 12,760 lbs.

Check that off the list!

I borrowed the truck and trailer from my children. :like

.

Just when we all think Ellwood has enough toys he goes and buys some more.

HAAAAAAAAAAAA

Nice mower , I have an affinity for big mowers , If I skipped cutting my cottage grass for a week it would be 24" high.

Did you scrap the other mower that had a bad hub?

I like big mowers, that way I can tell the neighbors, "mines bigger" no seriously I don't mind cutting grass, i just don't like to spend extra time doing it, time is money...
or time is flying or whatever...The new one is rated at cutting 7 acres per hour at 7.5 MPH

I did not scrap the other mower it runs well, but I paid less for the new one that it would have cost me for 2 new Hyd motors for the old one.

I will eventually strip the old mower of parts since they are both the same model, except the new one has better decks and the TURBO diesel @ 50 Hp instead of the old paltry 38Hp.
Also the new mower has only 1300 hours, less than half of the old one.

The 38 hp diesel kubota engine should have some value since it will fit in a variety of skid steer loaders and other small equipment.

I did have the stupid idea of putting the 38hp diesel engine in my spare CRX just to see if I could get 80 mpg...but I do not have time for that now.

Yeah, I sold my Ransomes cylinder mower (finishing mower) but I was going to put the 3 cylinder diesel into an imp :like :laughing

Mine was a 1995 Ransomes Highway 213, 3 gang cylinder mower, like for golf courses and stuff... was awesome, but too hilly around here... have a Kubota tractor for that :laughing

A Hillman imp is only 39Hp anyway :laughing :wol2 :Wolvie

Scott- That's a killer mower! Way to go. Mowing season is only 2 months from now...cant wait to fire mine up. I love to put on a stereo headset and mow.

I'll get some pictures later, this thing has an itty bitty cute little turbo on it...
I do have to do some minor work to it, but nothing expensive or involved, the seat is bad, but I have a good seat on the other one.
a few of the bogie wheel bushings are worn but I replaced them on mine, McMaster Carr about $0.96 each.

Muz You would like the truck especially when the turbo winds up it sounds just like a big rig.

So, that means you will be able to cut about 28 acres per hour when you drive it 'normally' instead of what the dumb manual says? :laughing :yoda2 :Wolvie
