Yeah, we have something like that.... pain in the ass....

I follow it to where it goes into the ground and snip it off, then wait a few days and wind it up like an extension cord :pop

It sure can strangle trees and other plants :badluck :calmdown :realcrazy

If I see a tree on the side of the road with that shit all over it, I stop and find the roots and snip it off and pull up the roots....

(and plant it in someone I don't like's garden) :eek :drama :rofl :rofl :fuckum :Wolvie

What about those Asian carp up in the great lakes? The ones that jump in boats and knock the drivers out? :eek :realcrazy

Have they got them under control yet? I remember seeing they had electrified some of the waterways between the lakes because that makes them jump out of the water so they can see where they are? I think they were trying to keep them out of lake Michigan or something.... last time I heard.... :noidea :yoda2 :Wolvie

Should get skeet shooters up there I reckon.... good practice.... and you wouldn't have to yell "Pull" all the time :laughing

Looks like a few grenades could take care of that problem.
Used grenades in vietnam ....It would bring them to the top.

Cattle seem to love Kudzu, we had Kudzu beside a creek. We put Cattle in that area and over a few years they killed it just because they loved it and wouldn't let it grow.

We have a lot of trouble with kudzu in this part of Georgia. It forms a tuber-style root that can be a few feet in girth and several feet long. Once those roots form, burning doesn't help much. Goats and cattle can keep it under control, but it can grow 14 inches per day. I've seen it up on top of Fort Mountain (altitude 6400 MSL). It climbed all the way from the bottom.

I killed a bunch of it that was coming over from my neighbor's farm by borrowing an IV drip bag from my wife and filling it with salt water. I needled the vine and let it suck itself to death. Too labor-intensive for a reasonable solution. though.

We have this weed killer called 'Round up' the greenie blue stuff.... that kills weeds, but dissipates after rain or a couple of weeks.... I have often played 'doctors and nurses' with plants and trees like that... sneak up on them with a syringe full of roundup and inject in at the root end .... works well :laughing :laughing

Especially trees that council wont allow you to cut down (not allowed to cut down trees now) :noidea anyway, a cordless drill, drill a hole down at 45 degrees at soil level, pour in some roundup, jam a stick in the hole (or some putty) and simply walk away whistling and looking innocent :noidea

Funny, the tree looks really sick, you call the council, they think it is 'dutch elms disease' or something and come and remove it for you (as you are there saying "please don't take my tree!" :lie :laughing :laughing :koolaid :yoda2 :Wolvie

Kudzu sucks......I guess the vines are OK if you like to be like Tarzan....but if not, it really is a nuisance.

We have this noxious weed here called 'Pattersons curse', it spreads like wild fire and makes cows and sheep sick :realcrazy

Way back when (1880), Mrs Patterson's husband (Mr Patterson) :rofl had to come from England to Australia and she thought she would miss the 'purple fields of home', so she bought 5 plants and some seeds so she wouldn't feel homesick :realcrazy :killme

Now it is everywhere.... same with 'Lantana' people bought a few plants and now it is everywhere...... as with foxes and rabbits (to hunt, like back in England) :killme

now they are like plagues..... I am constantly pulling lantana out with the tractor here... shit of a stuff.... it really takes over. But usually one root system can have a plant 20' x 20' growing from it :realcrazy But I finf where it comes out of the ground, put a chain around it and drag it away with the tractor.... looks like a huge pom pom following the tractor :laughing :laughing

It is funny how humans think they are smart :noidea :realcrazy :yoda2 :Wolvie

Florida has a slew of "beautiful plants" that have infested the state due to "beautification" efforts. Many come from OZ. Here's a list of some I remember:

1. Australian Pine. Imported due to its quick growth and intense root system to stabilize canal banks where canals were dug provide road bed material. The root system turned out to be so intense, it tore up the roads.
2. Malaleuca (paper tree). An Australian relative of the eucalyptus tree, it was imported as a decorative tree by land develoopers. It found a home in the Everglades and its overpopulation is the single greatest threat to water-levels in that area. Like the Australian Pine, its leaf droppings contain a toxin that prevents anything else to grow where it grows. When it flowers, the "scent" (read as stench) can cause respiratory distress in people with asthma or other breathing issues.
3. Water Hyacinth. An African water plant imported as a decoration. It took over the Everglades waterways, clogging canals to the point of impassability. Thousands of dollars are spend each year on the control of this water plant.
4. Brazilian Pepper (aka Florida Holly). Another import for decoration from South America. Like the Malaleuca, it found a home in the Everglades and chokes out other vegetation. It also features toxic leaves and sap that may cause poison-ivy-like conditions for those with sensitive skin. It also has an scent that may respiratory distress. Thickets of Brazilian Pepper are so dense that even deer go around them rather than attempt to make their way through a stand.

I understand that the US "got even" with Australia by "gifting" them with Prickly Pear Cactus a few decades ago. Last I heard, they were importing wasps to cure that problem. Heck, we could have sent over some killer bees from Texas if they wanted a stinging infestation.

Yes Jon.... we humans need to stop phucking with things like importing 'pretty flowers'

We are not as smart as we think we are (humans in general) in fact, I believe, quite the opposite.

200 years ago, things were naievly or accidently transported from one continent to another..... there is no excuse for we humans to have meddled in such gigantic ways in the last 40 years... we (humans) should be smart enough to know better...

All of this on 2 fronts... 1/ the gubbamint allowing scientist/educated people to bring things on purpose and 2/ people who smuggle things in without the gubamints knowledge.....

I believe the world if done for, and it is our (humans) fault entirely. :calmdown :killme :yoda2 :Wolvie

Try laying off the Dairy products and see if that helps.

Yeah....I don't do sprays any more either, I would get used to them in a couple of weeks and they would do no good.
I have had the best luck with chiropractic and avoiding all processed foods.....but then there is
all the tree pollen, etc.... even the poor dog had watery eyes this past spring.
:gay

Maybe a nice big ol Kudzu and fish head salad from the local Korean market.....maybe not.
