They were ok gyros in their time, but who would want to buy the business now anyway? One would only be buying it for the name.... but then, that is tarnished now anyway You wouldn't want to recreate those machines.... the pod has been copied many times and the machines including their thrustline is no longer relevant.... I would give them $200 for the name |

Still there is some worth in selling parts if some of the liability factor was not such a big deal. Of course if the parts are worthy and most of the A/C line has been around for some time, a good parts business could be viable supporting what is still out there that needs service. I really think there is a need to have multiple parts from as many venders and manufactures as possible and who are willing to sell parts outside of there own in house sales and also if the market demands it make after market parts supplied by independent craftsmen who like doing that kind of work for themselves, and their wallets too!! I suspect deals could be struck if the timing is right and the rewards are right. Anybody know a good saleman - pitch guy of foreign descent who builds real gyro's and paints them Ferrari red cuz he don't care bout NO stinking liabilities. jus saying...... The business model works and it's likely to happen more then not happen.... eventually. And screw China...It can be and should be done right here at Home!! |

Part of buying a business is the name, good will (past reputation and customer bank) stock and plans/designs for parts and the right to produce the parts (or machines),.... So there is an old name with not such a great reputation, the customers are used to remaking their own parts, the machines and components are already copied alot, so to buy the business makes no sense.... one would be better off starting their own business fresh, design a good closer to CLT (but not necessary CLT), build a good rep for themselves and pay no one for nothing Just my opinion |
