It was pretty cool at Sun n' Fun to see 4 gyro manufacturers represented (Same as BD except for Dominator), Autogyro, Apollo, Xenon and the new Lightning ( a very sexy looking machine). It seems like everyone is flush with new orders, apparently Autogyro alone has close to 20 new gyros in the pipeline coming to the US. Posted this on the other forum. It's great to see all the gyro companies selling more gyros in the US. It can all only be good for the sport and gyro awareness in general. Autogyro has some really cool options in the pipeline, including more engine options etc, and hopefully a certified Calidus and / or Cavalon in the US in the near future. From what I understand there are almost 2 dozen Autogyro orders in the pipeline for the US. The more gyro companies are selling their options in the US market the better. Autogyro, Apollo, Xenon, Magni, Arrowcopter, TAG, Genesis, and now the Lightning from Bulgaria - it's becoming a gyro enthusiast or buyer's wonderland. Personally I'd like to see more Magnis and Arrowcopters, flying around, and some ELA's. Then there are still Rotorsport and others. Hope all the various companies keep things professional and try to minimize any badmouthing of the competition directly or by inference, and that not every company rep post becomes a sales pitch on the forums. Despite all the badmouthing of Eurogyro / ELA clones by the old timers and traditionalists, I think this is an unbelievably exciting time for gyro enthusiasts. Hopefully the day will come when we go to Sun'n Fun or Oshkosh, we will see not just 3 or 4 gyro companies representing, but a dozen or more, like the other airplane types. Of course we are anxiously awaiting the far superior TAGS, and in the not too distant future Gabor's earth-shattering tractor to revolutionize the gyro market. |

Jeff- You made an excellent choice on your gyro. It's a long overdue turn around for the gyro movement with all the new sales coming in. What a dependable machine you have. You dun good! Doug landing that gyro at the capital is raising national awareness. I feel many people will be researching gyros, and will start noticing beauties such as yours. |
