Not bragging or anything just simply stating to the guys of my age that are wanting to.....
In 4 weeks of time from #267 down to #235.
Doing nothing more but following a chart for easy understanding of mixing proteins with carbs and fat.
No effort and it works obviously for old farts like me too.
Turning the big 50 this year so I ain't a pup anymore and I am sure my metabolism is not like it used to be.
A friend of mine who is 48 just got a freaking heart attack.
It did set off the alarm for me.
Take care of your ticker please.
I hope this helps a bit.
Print it out and stick it on the fridge.
Cheers

Yep it works, I used to follow this when I was in the AirForce, and running surfing, biking, etc. but have been doing it for the last year and 1/2 , (for other reasons)
But the other thing you will find out when you properly combine the foods is that you will feel better
have more energy, and wont feel bloated, or tired after eating.
sure you can still have meat and potatoes, just not at the same time, don't mix proteins and carbs, you will feel much better and loose weight, I went from 190+ down to 170 and have stayed there.
That's free horsepower there!

If you want more info look up "food combining" it just makes sense.

Ask Lofty. We were cruising around 80 KTS and his 912 was only spinning at 4800.
Just a hairline between yellow and green lining!
OK OK OK. The prop is awesome too of course.
I do have more energy for sure.
So I guess I ought to get my ass in gears and finish up the tractor????
:rofl
I have cut all the needless sugar/corn syrup from my list of food and drinks however.

Ha Ha! Try cutting out bread, pasta, rice, all that starchy carb stuff, and stay away from high fructose corn syrup, it is 40 times more fattening than sugar, avoid sugar, and artificial sweeteners.
Make your own salad dressing...

Dang crazy how we can eat all that junk for years and never have a problem, then, one day...
it all catches up to you..

Always amused at how there are so many approaches to dieting.
A hot new approach known as the Banting diet is basically close to zero carbs - no grains, no pasta, no potatoes etc. It is high fat and protein including eggs etc, and supposedly does not lead to high cholesterol. I can't keep up with it all and the chart above is too complicated for me. ,
I think it all ultimately comes down to total calories.
Control calories with very low carb intake and portion control.
Eat fat - eggs, avocados etc for calories as this helps control appetite and blood sugar swings one gets with carbs.
So low carb, mostly protein, veggies and fat.

The key to dieting is a diet that one can be happy on long term

Right, the key is finding what works for YOU, and avoiding
processed food is always a good idea, raw foods and natural foods
are always going to be better for you than chemically processed, hydrogenated,
bromenated etc frankenfoods.

And don't think of it as a "diet" think of it as a lifestyle change.

There is one food to definitely avoid at all costs..... :eek

You must avoid it... it can cause extreme grief for many years after you have eaten it.... :realcrazy

It causes grey hair.... and even baldness :eek Drives some men to drink.... and even suicide if enough is consumed :badluck :killme

Causes ulcers and constant diarrhea, constant stress.... once eaten, it causes massive weight gain and your eyes begin to fail.... :eek

After men eat it, they tend to very quickly become overweight.... nervous, shakey.....a lot of the time..... grumpy and hard to get along with....

After women eat it.... they tend to put on weight, become hard to understand (comprehend) they often whine and moan with ever increasing frequency....

It is a terrible thing to eat, but of course, it tastes nice while eating it, which is the trap.... if it didn't have such vile side effects and cause so much stress, especially in the mans life.... it would be very nice.... but really, it should be illegal, for all of these reasons.... :eek :noidea

Of course, everyone knows I am talking about...... hang on, phone.... back in a minute :laughing :laughing
