So here it goes after I have all the facts.

After gathering all the facts about what happened I need to put you to your place dude.
The very fact that you have managed to piss off the DeLand Skydiving Club is rather unfortunate.
I use unfortunate because I am trying to remain civilized.
I have watched that video you had put out on youtube and was disgusted by your foot notes.
They are a very professional school and the pilots are top notch.
They do NOT teach every jumper that jumps out of their planes.
The do NOT have a remote control to steer them way from the runway if by accident the wind carries them right over it.
They DO the their best to pick them up in timely manner.
They DO make an effort to stay away from our pattern.
On the other hand you haven't earned a rating as of yet.
You haven't taken off, landed, jumped out of etc etc on your own as of yet.
But you felt the need to tell the world how much you knew about aviation and its rules.
Unfortunately you don't know about those either.
If you did you'd have never put that video up on youtube for all to see.
Especially stating that you are in a gyrocopter and naming the airport and the company.
You see......aviation is a tight community and an unwritten rule is that you keep your dirty laundry in house.
But you wouldn't know that obviously for the reasons stated previously, so I take this from you as a mistake!
We don't rat each other out because that would make us no better than your hated enemies Ron Awad and Jonathan Weis just to name a few.
You do hate them for the very same reason!
So I am going to give you the opportunity to make this right Tim.
You need to go to the airport and look for Mike who is the general manager of DeLand Skydivers.
I will see him and ask if you went to him and apologized for what you have done.
He is a very understanding and mellow guy so you have nothing to be feared of.
I know a face to face thing is more intimidating than behind a keyboard typing away but this is how it needs to be done Tim.
He appreciates the fact that the video was taken down so you are in a good position.
Hell.....he might even give you a free jump.....
Anyways. For your information the airport has special rules because the operation is tailored around the jumpers.
So as much as you guys got upset for no reason they have done nothing illegal.
Active runways can be used by jumpers to land on if.....
There is that if..... just like for rotorcraft there are a lot of ifs that we can fall back on in case of emergency.
Let me one more time to emphasize that we are only renters at that airport and you are only a guest!!!!
I am getting a little agitated by the fact that certain elements and their actions jeopardize our little paradise we have built, enjoy and share!
Too much money, effort has been put into that hangar and I won't let anyone to destroy of what we have there. It's ours damn it!
So let's put it this way.
We are going to change our ways because apparently we have it way too good for everyone.
I am a little sick to my stomach at the moment and other people who poured work, money, time and effort into the place do the same.
We will see how we go from here.
In a mean time I highly suggest your visit with Mike.
If we have a problem we pull them over and talk to them we don't talk about them!!!!
By the way the jumper was not their student and was reprehended....
