They are far superior phucking ugly warthogs..... but man, what a plane  I love the sound of them, especially with a gattling cannon     Should have written on the front "smile.... wait for flash"

The A-10 is like the C-130 it cannot be replaced by a current aircraft in the inventory that can handle the same mission. It was the only aircraft since the P-51 Mustang that came in On time, under budget, and did everything that was promised. It can lift its own weight in ordinance, fly with one engine, and half of a wing, Plus the pilot has some protection with a titanium "bathtub" under the cockpit. The built a cannon and made an aircraft around it. 2 A-10's loitering around can put ordinance on target every 30 seconds. It is a beautiful thing. |

I wouldn't mind a bug with one of those cannons.... you need it with the idiots on the road around here     They misspelt the writing around the peace sign.... I fixed it!

Yes, it has a Totally Awesome Gun made in North America I've always loved that plane, because it's so effective. Really awesome. And I've read several times, they were to be taken out of the inventory.  I hope it's not true. But it's probably not "smart" and expensive enough.  Cheers Erik |
