At one time I had a big dish satellite receiver and I could pick up the Red Green show which was about redneck Canadians. "The handyman's secret weapon is duct tape." |

. Anyone ever start a old truck or tractor with a hand crank ? I have , and it is surprisingly easy (Ignition off) choke on , pull it thru a couple times to get some fuel into the cylinders (Ignition on) crank it about 1/4 turn (one compression stroke) and the engine should start idling ... not much different than hand propping an aircraft It is best to be pulling the crank upward in case it backfires .... otherwise it will toss you in the air or break an arm Old John Deere tractors you had to turn the flywheel ... some of those pistons were 10" across and you had to open a de-compression valve to get it to turn over Most swear words were invented by farmers starting those old tractors ... . |

You're the best Mr MadMuz .... mention something and you are sure to find a video or picture That tank reminds me of those flywheel aircraft starters ... they use the crank to spin a small flywheel up to thousands of rpm , then engage the Bendix drive which turns the engine over a couple of times .... and hopefully starts. . |
