Cool Spectacular scenery & scary approach.....A pilots view of flying the approach to Queenstown New Zealand! Been here a few years ago - though not by air ... the approach over the mountain passes by road was dramatic enough! Narrow valley locked in by rugged mountains (& lots of lakes) ... add the IMC approach down through clouds .... yikes ... ya gotta know where you are going & trust the instrument approach!  http://www.chonday.com/Videos/pilotnewzdalnd1 |

. . WOW that was a cool video ... I really liked the part when they were flying along just above the cloud ..... I think it would be cool to see a jet come from below and break thru the cloud .... kinda like suddenly appear out of nowhere. |

Beautiful scenery.....I don't like to fly in the sour creme myself but when it's IMC you just havta! I did touch the cloud by the way.....it was wet........really wet
