Remember nearly all of them :)

Great link John , thanks

A lot of popular musicians and songwriters came from here in Winnipeg for some reason
Must be our long cold winters ... stay inside where it's warm and get a band together

Bachman–Turner Overdrive
The Guess Who
Harlequin
Sugar and Spice
Randy Bachman
Lenny Breau
Burton Cummings
Terry Jacks
Neil Young
etc . etc.

In the early days they would play in schools and community clubs .
$1 got you in for an evening of music and dancing

Back then I fell in love with the 3 Murphy sisters from Sugar and Spice ... love their voices
I just never could figure out how to get them to fall in love with me :)

Same thing with the tall slender babe in 'The Mammas and Pappas'... and then Olivia Newton-John...
Realized I do not have enough $$$ or social status to run with that crowd.
Dreaming was fun in our youth.

I used to be in love with Jane Fonda too .... before she became a political activist

Now that she has dumped Ted Turner and became a Christian I am thinking about giving her a second chance :)
