Having this box ticked is what keeps you logged in I reckon... sometimes I have forgotten to tick it and kept having to log in...

It depends if the box shows up on a phone? :noidea :pop :wol2 :Wolvie

I am for some reason finding it necessary to log in every thread change or when I comment.

I wont mention it again.....Just will deal with it!

If you are using the "Private Browser" setting on your computer it will not keep track of "cookies" which keep you logged in while going thread to thread .

Could be that or something else.

Arnie- I don't do anything different when going to hundreds of websites over the years. This is the only one that I have to battle.

Gabor- I appreciate your efforts....and apparently its an internet connection gremlin only with this website that probably even Bruce Artwick would be challenged. Bruce wrote the Windows program and I built a 6 figure stairway for him back in 2000. Maybe I will cross paths with him again.

I am at my wits end with patience almost run out....and that is rarer than Ovomit doing something good for this country!

I am not smart enough to even begin to figure this one out.
You said it worked yesterday right?
I am just dumbfounded what had happened with it again...... :noidea

.

Could be something to do with living in a rural area . Just a guess. The ISP providers see rural areas as an orphan child . I spent 15 agonizing years on dial-up ... to watch a 3 minute flying video I had to start downloading it before I went to bed and if I was lucky it was done by morning.

I have no rational explanation. As I said I am too dumb to know about all these quirks.
I wish I knew the answer. I really do. :badluck

Hey Helli .... come to think of it , whenever I come on Wolverines ... day or night .... down at the bottom of the page it always shows who is logged in and your name is nearly always there .... weird or what .

Maybe you could try deleting all your cookies and history and start afresh .... but you will have to re-log in to all your other sites so make sure you remember your passwords.

Just tossing stuff out there .... I rarely use the "private browser" feature except for doing banking or paying bills or reading playboy articles .... haaaa .... point I wanted to make if I go to Wolverines on private settings (I am not logged in of course) .... I can read the general discussion posts etc but CANNOT see the PICTURES.

I tested that on the Millard-Murder thread .... should be readable by anybody ... and it is ... but none of the pictures show up.

Just tossing stuff out there , I know very little about computers , just want them to work. I still say this is the best forum I have ever been on. WOLVERINES !!!!!

Arnie- I haven't a clue as I cant view the video or see the pictures. I am going to build our table this fall or winter. I want to do stuff I had never done. ...It will have curves in it...as straight is too easy. The design will be bounced back and forth between Barbara and I. So far we both love everything we have thought out together after I had built it...

I am totally for handcrafting anything. I could go buy a cool $5-10,000 cnc router and let the computer carve it out.....but that goes against my grain...no pun.
