Scott, at one time when I needed to fly before the river froze over I used a small lake as they freeze a few weeks before the river, the way I transported the gyro in through the trail was on a komotic, a type of sled about 32 inches wide with two long runners, to do this I made some narrow gear that fit on the sled top, I think that may work on your gyro, make some transport gear that will fit in a pickup, when you get to where you are going to fly simply lean the machine over to put one normal gear on and then put a block under the keel to support the machine while you put the other side on and you are ready to fly in less than ten Minuits .
