A walk in the woods helps me relax and release tension. The fact that I am dragging a body should be entirely irrelevant! A simple thank you would have been enough for the morning coffee without all that "how did you get in here" nonsense.

I am more concerned about who controls the information than the technology to transmit it.
I love the technology but once everything is electronic .... I mean everything .... we would be screwed if the switch was turned off.
Scary Gary would survive .... Red Baron has his cabin .... but what about the rest of us ??
I'd like to believe that I would make it through. I am as much of a tech junky as the next guy but at the same time gone through the survival training and I must say 90% of the spoiled population would perish if the services were to shut down. They could not make it without having someone kill for them cut the animal up for them cook the damn food for them! Agriculture was invented by bad hunters!!!!!!

Sounds like we have a plan... We have tech folks to keep us informed, we have hunters, we have farmers, and since I am too old to do those things... I will tend the storehouse and manage/prepare the stock.
Now whoever is doing the hunting/gathering... we are picky eaters... NO liberal flesh...
I think we will be fine...

List of needed skills for end of the world survival groups. either develop one of these skills and prove useful, or be eaten. 1.medical/health and fitness with herbal and primitive resources. 2.firearms/explosives repair and manufacture from crude resources. As well as Tactical employment of each. 3.Food preparation/hunting and storage, to include meats and vegetables and fruits. How to grow and stow. 4.Water purification and transport in differing areas. (most important if water becomes difficult to acquire) 5.Distillation and brewing of spirits, to include ethanol for fuel usage. 6. off the grid power and electric wiring and storage skills, be able to make power from scavenged items. Wind/Solar and battery. 7.historian/teachers/musician/linguist to keep the knowledge already obtained from dying out. ( a hard sell when people are hungry) 8.Blacksmithing skills 9.Candle maker. 10.Fabric maker/seamstress/stich bitch. 11. primitive machinery engineer and builder. (artesian wells and fortressing design , look up Vauban)
That should do it.....If you look at this list and don't have ANY of these skills, after the grid goes down.....please continue to eat right and stay in shape. We don't like eating sickly people.

I like RedBaron's plan.... and if we run out of protein we could have Henry Bowman over for dinner , he is a bit tough and reeks of gunpowder but a bit of Specters special sauce will overcome that

I can do the things underlined... so I guess I will not be food... OTOH: I probably taste bad.
I think all us gyronauts would be good at #11

I'd add speaking foreign languages WILL increase your value. Also understanding different cultures and customs can prevent unnecessary misunderstanding and getting killed LOL
