This is my august 2013 batch of muscadine wine still working. After this stuff ages in the bottle for at least one year its some of the best muscadine wine there is. :)

My first wife's aunt made the best blackberry wine I've ever tasted.
I asked her for the recipe. She wouldn't tell me other than that she would dig a deep hole in the ground and bury it for a year or so like you.
I'm going to retire this year and I plan on making wine from the berries around here.

I have a buddy who makes the best liqueurs in the world

he will buy a 26 of Vodka .... hollow out a pumpkin .... put the vodka in it .... then he picks berries or rose hips or whatever from nature and tosses it in the pumpkin .

He hangs the pumpkin(s) in his basement for a couple of months and then pokes a hole in the bottom to drain the liquor into bottles and he caps them

he gives you a tiny little tumbler .... holds about a tablespoon ... kind of a mini shot glass ... just need a couple of drops on your tongue .. absolutely unbelievable flavor ....

I've made my own beer, wine, and vodka......from scratch. It's a fun hobby. I got rid of all of my equipment though. 12 packs are so cheap. I'm going to start growing hops this year for my brother in law.

I will confess I have the TV on in my office TOO MUCH... usually something on Discovery or A&E or History or H2... Or a Seagall movie on Reels... Anyway:

Been watching Moonshiners... and would LOVE to build a small version of a CU still. Fiddling with a mix of corn, barley, and rie... would make a really good batch of 'John Barleycorn' (remember that song from the group Traffic back when).

Please understand, this would ONLY be for personal consumption... of course... :)

Yeah, she probably would... but then I would feel bad if I did not get it back to you... :)

I think I will contact Jim-Tom (from Moonshiners), and get him to send me the plans... I will build it myself. :der
We can set it up in the junk-yard at the back of Wauchula a few days early, and REALLY enjoy BD's... :wol

Just kidding Gabbs... not gonna do anything that would get you in trouble.

Now the NC bunch... well... not tellin'... LOL

Hey, I have enough trouble thinking straight sober, so if this moonshine feeds my turbine without burning it up....maybe I will start cooking some mash in my woods. None of the law enforcement would ever expect me drinking that stuff.....

On second thought, lets have Turbo Ed try it out in his turbine and see how long it takes to cook his hot section.
