Light plane hits ferris wheel

No injuries but big lawsuits ... pilot was doing touch & goes at airport and embedded his plane in a nearby ferris wheel . |

I read a little bit of the lawsuit(s) .... the low hour pilot had planned to land ... but was to hot and too high so did a go around .... second attempt he landed long .... was not going to be able to stop so took off again .... concentrated on clearing some trees and did not see the ferris wheel .... had a low wing plane .... nose pitched up .... wheel not visible. Ironically the pilot sued and won his case ... ferris wheel too close to airport. |

I wonder if he had to pay for the ride on the ferris wheel before they let him out of the gate?
