Two of my shooting buddies and I are shooting concealed carry competition this morning at the gun range...then they are lunch guests of mine at the stair shop. They will be attending my quickly thrown together MidWest Squirrel Fest...as they will chow down on filet-o- squirrel for the very first time in their 60 plus years each on this planet.

Then we are shooting a steel target at my gun range in my former chopper channel. More pictures later today.

Here is my table setting complete with a squirrel tail centerpiece...my finest crystal plasticware...and Chinet cardboard plates.
All will Hi Caliber Gun Range target placemats.

I have been telling people for YEARS, I grew up in Indiana...rednecks are not exclusive to the south!!!

The guys absolutely loved the squirrel. They kept picking at every crumb....that is a good sign. We had sweet corn on the cob , potato chips, and peaches and pears.

They want yo do it again...They loved how tender and sweet the meat is, and loved the pancake/corn meal batter I fried the two squirrels in. They are all enthused about shooting their own squirrels now.

Dang, these things are about as secret as gyros
