after taking some meds for a while fighting my pneumonia and lack of energy I had managed to blow up to 267lbs in the last 8 months. Now that I am back to "normal" again and back to my routine this morning stepped on the scale and I was very pleased by seeing the beam even out at 237!!!!
That is freaking 30 pounds in a month and a half!
Exercise still works apparently.
I did however cut salt out. (the hardest thing for me)
According to studies salt help converting ANY FREAKING FOOD into fat in the first stage of digestion.
No wonder I wasn't getting anywhere even when I was eating modestly.
All I had change was not dumping salt on everything and the weight started coming off.
My blood pressure went to 116/74 resting HB 72
Fuck I am gonna die healthy!!!!!!!!!!!
:beefcake
ps: try intraday fasting. Once a week have your last meal at 4 pm and besides coffee in the morning don't eat anything till next 4 pm.
It does kick in the fat converting mechanism. Don't worry about blood sugar level (unless you are diabetic) because the body will produce what it needs by itself.

Dang, If I lost 30 lbs.......I would be real skinny like Davey Seace!

If you have to have salt, use the air dried sea salt, black or pink.

By the way I just checked the BMI (body mass index) charts and at 170 lbs, 5ft 8" I am sill morbidly obese... :noidea

LOL I know right?
According to my BMI I ought to be 187lbs.....
My skin weights more than that without adding my bones.
I am not sure the way to go is trying to match the government issued BMI guidelines though.
:laughing

Gabor- I know I consume way too much salt. Thanks to your post here, I am going to push the salt shaker away...and I will report what happens or doesn't happen.

Thanks!

Stan I am only reporting the results. I wish I was smart enough to come up with all this stuff.....
Maybe the Wolverine Doctor could chime in on this.....
It seems that it also reduced water retention.
I hope it works for you too my brotha!!!
We all can use good health :half

Shredded another 10 lbs on the low sodium diet.
It's either the diet that works or I have freaking cancer!
I went from 42 - 44 pants to 36...it could be though that my junk shrunk..... :noidea
Either way the Annoying Orange Scream will appreciate it I am sure :rofl

ShhhheeeeeeiiiiiTTTT!! you beat me to it! :badluck :laughing

Those BFI index are the same over here... I am supposed to be 79Kg but I am 90 Kg.... so, that makes me obese :noidea :laughing

So, what is someone who has more chins than a chinese phone book?

More rolls than a New York bagel shop? :noidea

Like, someone who is 5'5" tall (when they are laying down) :eek :drama

Someone like this?

I know I can't really by my clothes at the regular sized section either.
The teen stuff doesn't fit on the top, the old stuff doesn't fit on the bottom....
Mix and match is the name of the game or Big and Tall
:badluck

That's awesome Gabor!, I need to lose about 30 and I've tried all the diets, Nutrisystem, Atkins, Dr. Oz... etc and I can drop the weight temporarily, but now it feels like I can't drop anything...

Don I was like that. Until I did cut out the salt. It had changed the whole game.
No more sugar craving. No more highs and lows.
I could not believe the difference.
I do however eat a boiled egg every morning and a protein shake once a day.
Soooo it could be a combination of things.
You just have to experiment. But don't give up!
