First it it blazing hot and does not rain for a month, then we get over 2" of rain in 30 minutes,
washed out the driveway, I have a box scrape that i use but I have too much gravel on the sides that I have to pull back down on the driveway, the old shovel and rake don't cut it, so, I went and bought a 5 ft scrape blade that I can change the angle on, spent the last 4 hours, going to get the blade, getting the tractor started, and scraping the driveway, and now the bottom fell out again, I am sure we will get another inch or so before it stops...And I will be scraping the drivway again.. :die

Use a larger gravel. A bed of clay works to hold the gravel. Mine too has washed.

At least you didn't have a cow hit by lightening. I had to rent a backhoe.

Still...it improves my local image. One of my neighbors saw the new mound in my pasture and asked if I had caught someone else trying to break into the tool shed in my barn.....

We get a lot of lightening hits. I heard that nearby Berry College lost 21 cows to lightening so far this year. They run dairy and beef operations as part of their agricultural studies.
