Finally the conversation is on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I do believe however that a lot of people don't understand the purpose of the carry weapon.
It's really nothing more than a stopper or a surprise element till you decide if you needed a bigger gun or the guy is heading away.
I really don't wanna shoot anyone....by accident.....
My carry is not to become a fucking hero and savior of the movie theater or Walmart if shit breaks out.
I just heal much slower lately and don't do well with 300 lbs defense players anymore :eek

The best thing about it, is they are the great equaliser.... :like

A smaller person can match a criminal more equally with a 'special friend' :laughing

CC is best imo, because bad guy cant tell if grand ma or grand dad is packing.... so it might make a few raskles behave? Not knowing who has what, means a criminal is not all powerful in a crime.... 8 out of his 14 'victims' might be packing.... and not always the one's that look the most likely to be :rofl :like :pop :yoda2 :Wolvie

Right, it is to defend yourself, not to be a personal militia to save the masses, and be a hero.

It always amazes me that these people that are against guns, will not defend their own life, but expect a total stranger (Cop) to put his life on the line for them, when they are unwilling to protect their own life.

:realcrazy :noidea

I love my new right to conceal carry. I live in the last state...Illinois...that it became law.

I will use my conceal carry prudently....departing from possible confrontation with my weapon concealed...instead of advancing towards it with my gun drawn. I plan to keep it concealed as long as necessary.

I love Texas. Open carry should be legal all 50 states.

The only issue that worries me about open.... is that everyone (criminals) can see what is around.... they can also follow someone and snatch the guys gu.n and sho.ot him with his own gu.n :badluck

Also, evidently, getting in a car with a side holsta has broken many a rib (and hard on the seat covers to boot) :badluck

Better to carry, but not advertise 'what you are selling' :laughing :pop :wol2 :Wolvie

Open carry is a political statement.

One I support, but its only a deterrent to lesser crims.

I would like to see Illinois get open carry....but I would carry concealed. Not going to let them know I am armed.

I prefer concealed.
Why stir the liberals. Keep them ignorant.
I mean liberals get bent out of shape when a first grader takes a bite out of a pop tart and imagine it is then lethal.
I would prefer no interaction with them.

I just think that open advertises what you got.... someone might need a gu.n, see yours and want it.... even set you up and take it. :badluck :realcrazy :yoda2 :Wolvie

Also, then it becomes a thing like a cell phone.... people will have to have the latest/biggest/most expensive.... just like any other fashion statement.....

I mean why else would you have a .50 Desert Eagle? just so you could show it off and say "mine is bigger than yours"
:laughing

Evidently there is a small hole for a keychain on the end of a desert eagle barrel?

Evidently it is so you can clip a little chain with a condom on it....

Coz, whoever it is pointing at when it goes off....

Will be phucked!! (and be in need of protection) :eek :drama :laughing :rofl :wol2 :Wolvie

If it is for protection and not for going into battle I still believe a smaller caliber hollow does the job.
The hollow shocks your internal organs and drops you since the body's self defense is trying to preserve blood flow to the brain.
It's called shock!
One needs no more than that to get away from the situation that was life threatening.
Also a good left hook does the same thing.
Shock and awe :punch

My concealed carry have Corbon 115 plus P loads. I15 grain hollow point going 1350 GPS is over 460 foot pounds. If 1350 fps with 460 foot pounds doesn't expand that 9mm bullet..nothing will expand.

I sure would rather be shot with a standard 9mm hardball with only 320 foot pounds....but that could do a lot of harm anyway.

I reckon 32 is an often overlooked good intermediate between rim and CF... it is CF, but small. I have two 32 pocket revulvas (US rev. co. and a Wobbly)... both 5 shoot and break like a Wobbly... and 2 pocket peestols (savige and a wobbly) ..... great size :like :pop :yoda2 :Wolvie
