Byron has always been one of my favorite exhibition shooters, but this guy even though he is prancing around like a European Fairey is in my opinion pulling off feats that are even more impressive!
RayNAiken ... That type of marksmanship by Byron Ferguson in your video is something I would have to see it to beleive it ..... and now I have seen it and still can hardly beleive it .... amazing accuracy , thanks !!!!
Hellified .... notice anything "unique" in that video ?

Trivia: .... I have never done archery other than as a kid with a willow sapling , baler twine , and homemade arrows with 2 inch nails for the tip
My buddy Paul who worked in my shop for 30 years took up archery in the 1990's and was able to compete on an amateur level , mostly he trained for accuracy for bear hunting etc.
He aimed like Byron in the video ... both eyes open , no sights , and was fairly accurate. ... Paul & I had done a lot of rifle shooting thru the years and I was always quizzing him about his aiming in archery and his answer was usually .... "its hard to explain"
Eventually he described it something like this .... he drew the bow and his fully extended rigid left arm was in an "exact spot" (by lots of practice) .... his fingers and arrow were on exactly the right spot on the side of his face (after lots of practice) , and then he subtly turned his whole body (as a unit) until (his eyes) were looking at the spot he wanted to hit ... then he released the arrow
Anyone else ever heard of that ?

Arnie- All I noticed that was unique is an almost unbelievable display of markmanship. Simply amazing.......but shooting the incoming arrow ...I am not buying. But dang...most of the other stuff is just astounding. I would hate to have a gun fight with that guy. I would have 3 arrows stuck in my chest or head before I even pulled the trigger!
